MESSAGE FROM OUR YOUTH DIRECTOR:  To all the children in the ECDP Youth Department,
First off, I can't believe that Purim was just a week and a half ago! I would like to take a moment to thank all of you who came to our Purim Carnival and Matt the Music Man show last week. Purim night is one of my favorite events of the year at Shul, and I am happy that you were able to join us. All of the youth leaders and I had a great time with you, and I hope that you had fun.
As you all know, Shul was closed last week due to our current events, and will be closed this week as well. Each and every week, I am always amazed and inspired at the number of children in our Shul who make an effort to come to davening and groups. Not seeing everyone really left a void in my Shabbos morning last week. I hope to see everyone back in Shul as soon as possible! In the meantime, how can we stay connected to each other? Here is my proposal: While we may all be apart from one another, we don't have to be alone. This Shabbos morning, let's all make an effort to daven Shacharis at the same time, at 9:00am. Even if you are davening by yourself in your living room, you will not be alone, because all of your friends, spread around our neighborhood, will be davening along with you. I think this is a really meaningful, and I hope that you will join me in making this happen.
Lastly, I have a huge stack of tickets sitting next to me, so I had a great idea. I present to you: The Shabbos Challenge! If you complete 7 out of 10 items on the checklist below, please send me an email ( after Shabbos and I will add 50(!!!) tickets to your groups "account" for the end of the year Prize Redemption Raffle! Let's see who is up for the challenge! I know you can do it!
