SHABBAT MORNING YOUTH GROUPS: Early groups run from 9:15-10:00 am, at which point "Regular" Shabbat Youth Groups begin and conclude at the end of davening. We can’t wait to see you there! CONTEST TIME: The first child who can figure out the answer and tells it to Rafi at Groups this week gets 10 extra tickets! This week’s question is: What is the official name of the spikes at the end of the tail of a Stegosaurus? (Hint: It actually got its name from a "Far Side" comic!). Last week’s question was: "Which weighs more, a pound of bricks, or a pound of feathers?". The answer was.... they weigh the same!

YOUTH BIRTHDAY KIDDUSH: JULY: On Shabbat, July 20th we will be having our monthly "Youth Birthday Kiddush" at Shabbat Youth Groups, celebrating all children at groups who have their birthdays in July! ECDP WOMEN'S BOOK CLUB: The next book club featuring “Lucia Lucia” by Adrienne Trigiani, will be meeting Monday, July 15, 2019 at 8:30 pm at the home of Leah Fish, 632 Jefferson Street. The books will be available at the West Hempstead library under Nancy’s book club.

REFLECTIVE SAFETY BELTS: In light of recent tragic events, the Orthodox Union has provided reflective safety belts to shuls at no cost. ECDP has been able to obtain these belts for members to borrow, as needed, for example, when walking home from Shul on Motzei Shabbat. They will be located in a bin in the closet on the Sprague side entrance. We ask that you please return them at your earliest convenience so that the next member in need can make use of them. Thank you.

SECURITY: The Shul has arranged for armed security on Shabbat & Yom Tov mornings. The guards are all either off-duty or retired law enforcement. Please do not distract them as they are here to focus on our safety.

SHUL REMINDERS: Please do not bring any Strollers into the Shul. Strollers must remain outside all buildings. Please do not bring food into the new sanctuary. Please remember to make sure the lights are off and the doors are locked when you are the last or next to last person to leave the Shul. Thank you for your cooperation.

MEMO FROM THE WELCOMING COMMITTEE: The Welcoming Committee welcomes new families to West Hempstead. Additionally, they arrange a Friday night dinner to be delivered to new families for their first Shabbat. We are looking for more volunteers that would be interested in offering to bring Shabbat food for a new family when they move in. WEST HEMPSTEAD SHIVA MINYAN WHATSAPP GROUP: As our West Hempstead Community grows, so does the need for minyanim at shiva homes throughout the community. It will be used strictly limited for those homes that need extra help.

COURTESY TO OUR NEIGHBORS: Please make sure not to park your cars in any way that blocks our neighbors' driveways. Additionally, please do not walk through neighbors’ backyards on your way to and from the Shul unless you know that the family does not mind.
